The boarding house Waveboard is the perfect Potsdam address for your vacation, your business trip or your temporary home. Whether an important meeting, a new job, constructions in your own home, a private break or a sightseeing getaway, we have the perfect accommodation in Potsdam for you – whether you’re with us for one night or a long stay of up to five months.
Besides tasteful furnishings, panoramic windows and hardwood floors, our light-flooded apartments offer a fully equipped kitchen and private washing machine. This way you remain as independent as you would be in your own home during your stay at Waveboard and can enjoy all the services a hotel has to offer at the same time. A priceless highlight is the direct view of the Tiefer See and the relaxing nature that surrounds us.

Location
The Schiffbauergasse is a cultural and industrial location. The restaurant ship "John Barnett" and the restaurant "Il Teatro" invite with gastronomic variety and quality all year long to stay and relax. A riverside park with a ship landing stage and marina, a rafting station, a promenade along the "Tiefer See" and cycle paths between the Neuer Garten, the Schiffbauergasse and the Babelsberg Park make the area a total experience for everyone.
With an international focus, visitors interested in art and culture regularly experience concerts, free theater, performances, film art, exhibitions, parties, etc. at the fabrik Potsdam, Waschhaus Potsdam and T-WERK. - a lively mixture of art, action and nightlife. Waveboard is only 3 km from Sanssouci Palace and its beautiful gardens. Busses and trams are just 100m away, providing a direct connection to the S-Bahn Stations of Potsdam and Wannsee.
Arrival
The reception is open from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 16.00, on public holidays and weekends from 10.00 to 16.00.
Check-in is possible starting from 15:00, for check-in after 16:00 you can use the check-in machine in the lobby.
Bistro
In our bistro we bake fresh rolls, baguettes and croissants every day and then fill them individually according to your wishes. With a hot espresso or cappuccino from our Italian portafilter machine, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view of the water. You are also welcome to pick up bread rolls for your breakfast in your room.
Sustainability
We at Waveboard attach great importance to sustainability. With energy from the sun, air and water, we are 100% independent of fossil fuels and generate a large part of our energy ourselves.
The sun supplies a large part of the electricity for the heat pumps via photovoltaics. Excess energy is stored in batteries or fed back into the grid.
With the help of solar air absorbers, the ice store, a cistern filled with water, is additionally supplied with energy.
The heat pumps use this energy to heat our house in winter and cool it in summer from air and water.
Modern insulation and large-scale underfloor heating ensure cozy warmth despite low flow temperatures.
In summer we use this technology to cool the building in an environmentally friendly way via the underfloor heating. This creates a temperature drop of 2-4 degrees, which ensures a pleasant climate in the house.
